Session 9

We start off with River’s lesson with Pandora Pandora Begins by taking River into her workshop and shows off what she is currently working on. She then uses the cantrip light and invites River to try which she feels. River uses the wand to try again and it feels once more. Pandora then asks mates to pull out their Weavers tools and saws over the top and uses mending and it is as if it was never broken. They then ask Trevor to try and use her thieves’ tools too late a candle. River envisions it unlocking and then a flame appearing in her mind’s eye and when she opens her eyes, the candle is lit. 

While River is in her lesson, a messenger arrives from Chief Guardsman Tumal who requests their presence at the barracks.  The group decides to go later and visit the common room to find out where the package from Flame was delivered to. Kyron calls out to his oldest son Lochlan who informs the group of the delivery address.

The group visit the address and scouts out to the place quickly and then enters trying to find evidence. They find the dye the saltpeter and a letter with the name ‘Asta’ on it.  They question why Lady Asta would want her own nephew and heir dead and hatch a plan to see what Tumal knows.

Tumal gives no indication that he knows anything about the assassination but reveals he learned of a banker and the capital killed under similar circumstances by someone nicknamed ‘The Smoke Blade’.

They unveil the letter to Tamal who recognizes something isn’t right with the signature. It turns out to be a well-made forgery. Tumal asks the group to accompany him that evening at sundown to stake out and take down the smoke bleed. 

 The group head back to the singing Dragon to prepare.
