Session 13

Going to bed, River decides to sneak out unnoticed. Leaf, after drinking a lot, does not make it downstairs to breakfast but the group decides to head to Lady Asta’s to get their reward for finding Ovid’s killer. Their plan is then set to go shopping and to see the Cleric Rayne of Raotyl.

Lady Asta is home and they are let in by the elderly halfling servant Pearce and are led to a sitting room. They are eventually joined by the Lady of the house and agree on their reward being financial compensation. She also asks the group if they would be of service again if it is required. Before leaving, River asks about Lady Reylama and is quickly shutdown by Lady Asta, who is not forthcoming.

With their reward, shopping comes next at Flame, Tonna’s Blacksmiths, Pandora’s Box, and Xanthia’s Tinctures and Tonics (though not necessarily in that order), where T’ix orders a +1 Shield enchantment from Pandora costing 750gp and River orders a new purple cloak from Damion at Flame.

Afterwards they visit the Temple of Raotyl where Cleric Rayne checks over Mika. He finds nothing wrong with her in terms of being possessed and had cast detect Good and Evil. His prescription is a sleeping potion that lasts for 12 hours. T’ix asks for guidance to be able to help people instead of just fighting them, The group heads to the Temple of Thana in the docks afterwards.

On the way there, T’ix hears a voice cry out for help and they make their way over to find its source, a teenage boy with golden hair being attacked. The sight has T’ix transfixed and unable to help defeat the two street thugs beating on him, or trying to at least. The rest of the party take them out and help the teenager on their way leaving T’ix to explain what happened. Their younger sibling looked very similar to the teenager. Their sibling, Pax, was killed and T’ix was unable to save them.

After going through the emotional trauma, they head to a dirty sailors pub for drinks. River buys the round and sneaks off to visit the Temple of Thana alone. The temple is dark, small, and looks virtually unattended. After River returns, they head out and check the notice board in Temple Square. 

On arrival, they see a notice from Pandora and Metz that their kitten (a black Tuxedo called Socks) has gone missing. T’ix instantly takes it on and buys some fish suppers and heads out to find the cat in the night with River asking behind if any passers by can help them find their pussy. They don’t find Socks, but a large ginger alley cat is well fed.

They head back to The Singing Dragon where Leaf is drinking again and head to their rooms with Mika taking her prescribed potion.
