Session 19
On the road again with the Tiefling baby, the group continues their travels with the Royal Party. They try to keep River occupied, who seems intent on messaging the Princess. River finds out that they still have around five days of travel to Sarithia, but also finds more than enough time to attach a sign created by Leaf to the back of the Royal Carriage that reads ‘Baby on Board’.
With the baby in the Royal Cart, a stop is decided upon in the town of Ravenscroft, a small one-track farming town that is too small to be on any map. After some guards go ahead, they pull into the town with River playing a trick via Message on a guard telling him to ‘phone’ his mother.
They gather at ‘The Dancing Raven’, the only tavern in town with a worn sign with barely any writing left on it, a fact which River helps Leaf rectify by changing its name to ‘The Dancing Lady’. With rooms procured, the party join Ser Emmyth and Princess Luisa for an evening meal.
River does not trust them and decides to engage in some reconnaissance, and wrangles T’ix into the endeavor, after a discussion about the history of The Royal Family of course. The pair decide to explore the Royal Carriage, finding only a book and a box filled with letters between Ser Emmyth and their wife Narcisse about their children.
With knowing that Ser Emmyth is keeping watch over the baby, they decide to continue looking into the Royal pair and rope Mika and Leaf into it as well as they want to gain access to the rooms the pair are staying in, much to the dismay of Taurin who displays a lot of ‘Dad Energy’.
The first room they try takes them into a guards room so they abandon it for the evening while promising to continue to see if they are ‘Royal Shady’ or ‘Shady Shady’.
