Session 22

The session begins with the Party sitting in the main family area of the Castle with drinks and refreshments being brought in. The party have many questions for the Queen, but she is around her young children with the new Tiefling baby being passed around. River heads off into a corner to start working on different imbuements, but before she can complete one the group hears fighting coming from the courtyard.

Going outside, they see multiple dead guards and another party fighting the remaining guards. Asking what they want, the Queen sends a guard to get the prisoner, the Wyvern Rider that The Rainbow Posse met on the road, and they enter into a standoff before a Wizard in the opposing group sets off a fireball. The guards on the roof are unable to do anything to help from their position due to the risk of potentially hurting their Queen. Eventually one of the enemy party comes back with the prisoner and they open a teleportation portal, taking the body of the slain rider with them. The Queen is left extremely hurt and almost hanging on for her life.

The guard who went to get the prisoner eventually returns, looking like he had been in battle himself and knocked out. Returning to the Family Room, The Rainbow Posse are given their rooms for the evening with the promise of regrouping in the morning for The Queen to answer any questions that they have. River remains awake, choosing to continue with her Artificer Infusions while Mika experienced another terrifying nightmare, this time alone in a room with only Owlivia for company.
