Waking up the following morning, the party spends some time eating and planning the day with the Royal family. Knowing that the group wanted answers, The Queen invited them to attend the Small Counsul meeting. After fetching River, who disappeared to the courtyard after a quick meal to go over the battles, the group join the Queen, Ser Emmyth and their father for the meeting.

Tauin (and everyone else) instantly go on the defensive, as well as Máister Legate Arras Storemore, the dwarven female in charge of the Guard. Zone of truth reveals that none of the Small Counsul are conspiring against the Queen and they do not know more than they are letting on.

The Queen asks them at lunch to meet up with a contact she has to try and investigate some goings on and to meet her contact just after Dusk at The Rams Horn Inn and provide the code word ‘Suppliance’ to the barkeep.

They accompany the Queen and her people to the Barracks to question the Guards. Taurin uses Zone of Truth once more and three Guards are found to be resisting and are taken for further questioning. The Queen, visibly upset, now leaves and heals herself now that the Guards have been made to feel guilty. She reminds them that the battles themselves were over within a minute. The party heads back to collect Mika, discussing along the way about projecting their inadequacies and feelings about the battles onto the guards and promising to do better.

At The Ram Horn Inn, they duck into an alley to plan. River uses the Dust of Invisibility, which turns out to be a Dust of Coughing and Sneezing and is unable to stop. Taurin eventually casts Lesser Restoration and River stops only to see a familiar face at the end of the Alley, Secret.
