Session 26

Leaving the city of Eahlens, the party start their 7 day trek to Arkmerry to infiltrate the birthday celebrations of Lady Reylana.

The journey itself is quiet, with them taking the Kings Road. They don’t encounter anyone and they set up camp for the evening when the rain starts pouring.

They take cover near some trees, but as the rain starts to clear there is a horrible smell. Everyone bar Leaf decides to leave it alone and while on watch, Leaf however discovered the area it is coming from.

After packing up, Leaf jumps off the back of the cart followed by River and they discover a dead boar with a blue fungus on it. They throw ball bearings at it to no avail before River throws a dagger and it explodes into blue spores. They decide to collect it and get closer. They perform some acrobatics to try and avoid the boar, and cut into it causing the body to explode again and infect River.

The rest of the party berate the pair while Taurin uses Lesser Restoration to cure River of whatever ailment she had picked up.

The following days pass peacefully, and on the fourth day of their journey they approach Bhegdur. The closer they get, and the closer they get to The Cursed Pinnacle, the darker the skies get.

They eventually enter the outer part of the city, with T’ix shifting into their dwarf persona, and Mika approaches the guards who guide them towards a tavern on the outside of the city where they could all stay for the night. They learn that non-dwarves are not permitted to enter the mountain, and given their tight deadline they decide against breaking in, resolved to attempt it on their way back.
