Session 29

Throughout the night the watches happen without incident and they set off on their remaining two days of their journey to Arkmerry. Day one is uneventful barring finding a tick on Leaf and removing it. At camp that night, a rustling noise could be heard around the tent and they discover a group of teenagers trying to sneak in. All but one scatters and the remaining thief in the night explains that it was a dare before running off to join his friends.

On the approach to Arkmerry the following day, they come across a caravan pitched at the side of the road with a sign stating fortunes would be told for free. All but Mika partake. 

T’ix – Child in their future

River – there is danger ahead, but that they would make it out alive.

Secret – A Crown Moving

Taurin – He will find what he is looking for

Leaf – a figure shrouded in shadow.

They also all gained inspiration for having their fortunes told.

Upon entering the city, they decide to stay at ‘The Cat and Mouse Inn’ which is run by a run down looking gentleman called Alyx. They have the run of the place, as they are the only patrons, and are spoiled rotten. They retreat to their rooms and gather to plan. River shares what she remembers to be the layout of Lady Reylana’s compound and they decide to work on their cover. Taurin wants to visit a blacksmiths, they need to stake out the compound, as well as find out when the troupes gain access the compound to set up their acts. All of this, they decide, needs to be completed with River remaining inside as much as possible to avoid being seen. They also agree on some code names that they will use for the duration of their stay. T’ix will be Max, Secret will be B, Taurin will be called Broderick, Leaf decides on Branch, Mika will go by Akim and River will call herself Poppy. They then head to bed with River setting up an alarm on her room.
